A clear process in five stages

Every project goes through five stages. Each stage starts after you approve the one before. Each has a clear deliverable, an approval point and a clear benefit for you.

If you want to know in advance what will happen, in what order and who decides each time, the process puts it all in writing. The stages count down from T−5 to T−0, like a launch. A business website project succeeds when decisions are closed on time and what "done" means is written down from the start.

A clear process in five stages The five stages, from T−5 to T−0

Every stage has four fixed parts: what we do, what you get, when you approve, what you gain. You can use them as a checklist for any partner, even for us.

  1. T−5

    Analysis and requirements

    What we do

We learn how your business works, who decides, what the website is for and which limits apply: technical, legal or operational.

    What you get

A short written project outline: the audiences you serve, what each one needs, a first picture of the content and our assumptions.

    When you approve

When you have read the outline and confirmed that it describes the project you want.

    What you gain

Agreement from day one. Any disagreement shows up early, not in week six, when a change costs more.

  2. T−4

    Structure and wireframes

    What we do

Before colors and fonts, we organize the content so it is easy to find: which pages exist, in what order the information appears, how the visitor moves around. Then we draw simple page layouts, without colors.

    What you get

The page map and one layout for each main page type.

    When you approve

When someone on your team can find every important answer in the layouts on their own.

    What you gain

Feedback about what matters. You know early whether a point is about structure or about looks.

  3. T−3

    Design system

    What we do

We apply the visual design: layout, fonts, colors, elements. We write the choices down as rules, so all pages look alike, today and later.

    What you get

The designed main pages, together with the document of rules.

    When you approve

On the designed pages, after the structure has already been approved. That is why the comments are few and short.

    What you gain

Consistency across all pages, with a design that works well on a computer, tablet or phone.

  4. T−2

    Build and quality check

    What we do

We build the approved design as a working website and take care of basic speed. We test it on different devices. We check accessibility, usability, security and updates.

    What you get

A working website at a test address, together with the results of the checks. The speed guarantee applies to everything we deliver.

    When you approve

After you see the working website and the results.

    What you gain

A website checked by us before your visitors see it.

  5. T−1 → T−0

    Launch and handover

    What we do

We run the final checks and your website goes online. We hand over access details and documentation. We show you how to make updates yourself.

    What you get

The live website, the access details and the documentation.

    When you approve

Before launch, on a final checklist that you sign.

    What you gain

Independence. You have all the access and knowledge to manage your website.

Who it is for

The process is for businesses and organizations that want to explain their work clearly and earn the trust of their visitors: clinics, professional services, software companies, organizations with strict regulatory demands (see the industries). It works best when one person is responsible for decisions and the team values a clear order of steps.

How to get the most from the process

The process pays off most when you approve the structure first and the design after. Steady communication with a clear schedule also helps. Changes go through the agreed project scope, so you always know what is changing. This way the project keeps its pace, and the result is what you expect.

Working together and responsibilities

Working together succeeds when each side knows its role. We set the structure and the process, guide you through the key decisions, deliver what was agreed and keep you informed about progress. You provide information and approvals on time, name one person responsible for decisions and follow the agreed outline with its milestones. The time needed from your side is explained on the project investment page.

Revisions and changes

Revisions are part of the process and happen inside the stage they belong to. A request outside the agreed scope is assessed and recorded before any change is made. Every change is written and agreed. This protects you, and it protects us too.

Why the process works

Each stage ends with something you can read and approve. That way problems are solved early, while they cost little. Misunderstandings are avoided, the result is predictable and you get a website you will use for years. The process is designed for organizations that value clarity and consistency.

A clear process in five stages Frequently asked questions

How long does the whole process take?

A business website usually takes four to ten weeks. The length depends mostly on how fast the content and the approvals arrive. That is why we name one person responsible for decisions from the start.

Can I see the work before I approve a stage?

Yes, that is the purpose of the approval. You see the outline, the layouts, the designed pages and the working website before the next stage starts.

What if I want a change after approval?

We assess it, explain what it affects and record it. Small changes are usually easy to fit in. Bigger ones are agreed in writing before the work starts.

What do I receive at the end of the project?

Your website is online. You receive all the access details and the documentation, so you can manage it with confidence.

How does the cooperation start?

Send a project request. We read it, reply and suggest the next steps for your business.
